SCARC CEO retiring

AUGUSTA — The SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc. Board of Trustees announced that Linda McConville, the Chief Executive Officer of the organization is retiring in March 2018 after serving as the leader of the organization for the past 25 years.
The Board is pleased to announce that Megan MacMullin, Esq. has accepted the position as Chief Executive Officer of SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc. Megan comes to this position with a wealth of knowledge and professional experience in the area of guardianship. Megan, an attorney since 2003, specializes in the area of guardianship, estate planning, and elder law. She also serves as the court-appointed attorney for a number of clients. Megan has twenty-five years of experience working with and learning from individuals with intellectual, developmental and behavioral disabilities. Prior to earning her law degree, Megan was a New Jersey Certified School Social Worker.
SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, operates three programs. Through the Guardianship Services Program, the organization provides guardianship services to forty-seven individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; the Pro Se Legal Advocacy Program assists families with the legal process of becoming their loved ones guardian; and the Community Trust allows families to provide for some of the financial needs of their loved one through individual and pooled trusts.
