SCCC holds crime and fire symposium

    NEWTON — Sussex County Community College will conduct a Criminal Justice and Fire Science Career Symposium on Thursday April 5 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Academic and Athletic Building (E) on the college campus. Experienced professionals in the fields of criminal justice and fire science will be present for great networking opportunities.
    The Career symposium will include information sessions, transfer opportunities, and workshops highlighting Criminal Justice Agencies. A keynote speaker, Nar Can Demonstration, CPR, K9 unit and SORA will all take place during the day. There will be federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies present such as; F.B.I, Secret Service, New Jersey and New York State Police, National Park Service, Sheriff’s Department, Branches of the US Military, Newton Police Dept, Philadelphia Police Dept., Border Patrol and Top Cop. Some of the colleges attending will be John Jay College of Criminal Justice, The College of St. Elizabeth, and Rutgers Newark. The symposium is free and open to the public.
