SCCC offers college classes at Hopatcong HS

    NEWTON — Taking college courses close to home is the key advantage for Hopatcong residents and the surrounding areas. Sussex County Community College (SCCC) is offering 17 new courses for the start of the spring semester on January 22. The classes are open to everyone and the credits can be used to complete an associate degree at SCCC or easily transferred to a four-year college.
    New classes at Hopatcong High School will allow students in these areas to have the convenience of travel plus be able to add to their college transcripts. New classes include Character Design, Computer Concepts, English Composition, Food Service Sanitation, History of Rock & Roll, Intro to Exercise Science, Intro to Hotel & Restaurant Mgmt., Intro to Meteorology, Intro to Psychology, Music Theory, Painting, Statistics, Video & Motion Graphics and more.
