Scout earns Eagle rank

ANDOVER — Gunner Michael Nunn, 17, of Andover Township was recognized at an Eagle Court of Honor held at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Parish in Sparta on August 28.
Gunner is a member of Boy Scout Troop 81 in Andover. He is the son of Michael and Jacqueline Nunn, and the brother of Mackenzie Nunn.
Gunner earned his new rank at his Eagle Board of Review on May 23. In addition to earning 26 merit badges, Gunner completed an Eagle Project which involved creating a Scent Detection Training Center for the Morris County Sheriff’s Office’s K9 unit.
Gunner has held many leadership positions with Troop 81, most recently as the troop’s Assistant Senior Patrol Leader. He is also a member of Woapalanne Lodge 43 of the Order of the Arrow. Gunner is a senior at Sussex County Technical High School where he studies criminal justice. He plays varsity lacrosse at Newton High School and is a new member of the Lakeland Emergency Squad.
