This past week snow, rain, ice, and wind resulted in a messy and frustrating Thursday and Friday for commuters. Some residents had some fun with the snow too though, as did Anne Grimaldi of Lake Mohawk who snapped a photo of a Thanksgiving snow pilgrim, complete with turkey and pilgrim attire. Freddie Martinez of Mariela's Pizzeria in Sparta got an early start on shoveling at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, as the snow was already accumulating quickly. Sparta had upwards of 8 inches of snow and wind gusts up to 65 mph.
