Sparta. The Sparta Chess Club is beginning its 20th season. The team is scheduled to play in many state and national events, including Baltimore, Memphis, Dallas, and Orlando.
Sparta High School will be playing in the North Jersey Chess League during the school year. The team will be playing teams from Florida and California online on Oct. 23.
Individual school weekly meetings are as follows:
● Tuesday, Sparta Middle School in Room 271 after school.
● Wednesday, Alpine School in the all-purpose room at 8 a.m.
● Wednesday, Sparta High School in the MRC after school.
● Thursday, Helen Morgan School in the Library after school.
● Friday, Mohawk Avenue School in the all-purpose room after school.
