Sparta High School senior crowned Miss Sparta 2018

SPARTA — Hannah Fagersten, a Sparta High School senior and a lifelong resident of the town, is the 2018 Miss Sparta.
At a ceremony last week, Fagersten received the title and the crown. Shelby Kapp was first runner-up and Samantha Russo was second runner-up. Kapp and Russo are also seniors at Sparta High School.
Fagersten will now represent Sparta in the yearly Miss Sussex County competition, with the winner crowned at the New Jersey State Fair/Sussex County Farm and Horse Show in Augusta in August.
Fagersten will atend Penn State this fall, where she plans to study business and marketing.
She is a varsity cheerleader, a volunteer with Pass it Along and Girls on the Run, and she works at Krogh's Restaurant.
Kapp will attend Rutgers University and Russo heads for Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania.
