Sparta squires elected as state officers
SPARTA — The New Jersey State Columbian Squires recently held their election of officers at their annual meeting. Several Squires from St. Kateri in Sparta were elected to state office. They included: Jack Lubertazzi who will continue as state deputy chief squire; Hayden Corbin as state notary; Maddox Corbin as state bursar; and Fernando Gomez as state sentry. Saint Kateri Squires Chief Counselor Nick Cutrone noted, “Our Squires from Sparta have earned the respect of their peers at the state level and the election is a continued vote of confidence in their ability to lead others.” State Squires Chairman Peter Briody recognized the Sparta circle for the commitment to growth and volunteer service and also thanked outgoing St. Kateri Chief Squire Ben Insley and Jon Rohe from St. Jude’s for their work as state officers for several years.
