The Newton Theatre begins student artist program

    Newton — The Newton Theatre is introducing a new program, The Newton Theatre Student Artist Award, in its continuing support of community, schools, and students.
    Throughout the year this student recognition program will honor outstanding Arts students of Sussex County. Students ages 8 to 18, who excel in the performing or visual arts, may be nominated by a teacher.
    Sussex County school teachers, vocal, dance, instrument, and art instructors, are welcome to nominate students for their technical proficiency, extraordinary leadership, personal dedication and exceptional effort in their chosen field.
    There will be multiple recipients of the award, who will be honored throughout the year at different performances at The Newton Theatre. Students will also be recognized on The Newton Theatre's website, social media and onsite digital signage.
