Sparta - Candy hearts, cookies and teddy bears were the order of the day, as Girl Scout Troop 723 hosted a Valentine’s Day party for the residents of Knoll Heights retirement village. The girls planned and participated in a variety show, provided refreshments and led several rousing games of bingo. The winners of the bingo games received cuddly teddy bears. In addition, the girls donated hand-made fleece blankets to Knoll Heights to be used in their Tricky Tray for the residents. With the year-long planning of the party and blankets, the girls earned the bronze award, the highest award they can achieve as Junior Girl Scouts.
