Money Smart U is a night of financial education

    NEWTON — The Center for Prevention’s “Money Smart U” is a night of financial education promoting the financial wellness of Sussex County residents on Tuesday, May 17 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Presentations are facilitated by volunteer financial experts for people of all ages and expertise. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. High school aged children are also invited. Workshops include “ABC’s of Investing,” advanced investing, getting a good financial aid package for college, retirement, insurance, protecting your assets and maximizing investment dollars, living on your own: looking rich, being rich and be money smart will also be presented for high school students. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for students and it includes pizza and a drink. The event, presented in cooperation with MoneySmart week in Sussex County, is sponsored by United Way of Northern New Jersey, the Sussex County Coalition for Financial Education, a program of the Center for Prevention and Counseling, the New Jersey Society of CPAs, and Money Management International.
