Morgan, Hissett-Bonard promoted by First Hope Bank

    Hope - Dennis Morgan was promoted to assistant vice president-finance, and Laine Hissett-Bonard was promoted to assistant vice president-e-commerce, at First Hope Bank’s annual shareholders meeting on April 27. Hissett-Bonard, who resides in Ogdensburg, joined the bank in 2002 as a contact center representative. She now oversees the bank’s e-commerce department, which includes the contact center, the bank’s Web page, and its “Hope Online” Internet banking system. “Hope Online” has grown to over 3,400 users under her leadership. Her training in-house training has included courses on the customer identification program, wire transfers, fair lending, Web site auditing and the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003, which established the first national standards for sending commercial emails. “Laine oversees what is the seventh financial center of the bank,” said Beatty. “Her strong leadership and communication ability, combined with her advanced technological skills, make her the ideal person to lead our ‘virtual’ office.” Hissett-Bonard and her husband, Ralph, live in Ogdensburg with their daughter. Her hobbies include writing fiction. Morgan joined First Hope in 2003 as a financial analyst. He is responsible for performing projections on the status of the bank, carrying out certain treasury functions and administering the investment portfolio. Morgan, a 1990 graduate of Cal-Poly Pomona in Pomona, Calif., holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and has worked in financial analysis since then. He is responsible for administration of the bank’s investment portfolio and financial data collection. Additional courses in asset liability and finance have been taken from the American Bankers Association. “Dennis has spearheaded our budgeting process and has been an integral part of our funds management process and strategy,” said Lewis R. Beatty, vice president and chief financial officer of First Hope. “His sound judgment assures the successful continuation of First Hope’s financial safety and soundness.” Morgan, his wife, Jessica, and their two children reside in Blairstown.
