Stanhope - MSI Services, Inc. announces its approval by the State of New Jersey as a Private Vocational Training School. An open house celebration is scheduled from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 21, 2006 at their newly designed facility in Stanhope. With this approval, MSI Services now offers training and certification to individuals referred for continuing education by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development. “The State sees the same challenge that I see as a local business owner: workers are falling short of being proficient in basic business skills,” said Frank Ableson, President of MSI. “As an employer, I often see a gap between the skills people claim to have and the skills they can actually demonstrate. Our goal is to teach practical and applicable skills to the workforce, to assist our clients in gaining industry recognition through certification and to help our clients identify employers that see the benefit of a well-skilled candidate.” Ron Vreeland, Director of Training Services at MSI, has created a comprehensive program that offers instructor-led training, lab time for reinforcement and certification testing for individual accreditation. “Our approach is very unique. For example, clients who train with us in Microsoft Word will develop the skills to use the software in a more efficient manner and have the opportunity to achieve official certification from Microsoft, right at our facility. This approach is the same for both vocational and corporate clients,” said Vreeland. Everyone is invited to attend the Sept. 21 event to learn more about MSI’s educational programs.
