Mystery readers at Hilltop Country Day School
| 30 Sep 2011 | 09:19

Mystery Reader Dana Cirto-Morganti recently shared a favorite story with Hilltop Country Day School pre-kindergarten students. Parents, relatives, and friends in the community are invited to share a favorite or well-liked children’s book with the class. The mystery reader remains anonymous until he/she enters the classroom on the designated reading day. The program is intended to be a surprise though pre-kindergarten teacher, Wendy Maxwell gives the students hints and clues causing anticipation to build. She feels a sense of community spirit and literacy development has evolved which complements the pre-k program.
