WASHINGTON — United Way of Northern New Jersey invites area women to a United Way Women’s Leadership Council networking and book signing dinner featuring human performance consultant James P. Brennan, Ph.D. on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Ballroom at the Wells Fargo Bank, 2 Washington Avenue in Washington. The council’s fall networking dinner connects women from all sectors of the community for conversation and opportunities to learn about its work. Brennan, director of the council’s mentoring program, will share with this year’s guests the program’s successes in helping women in transition achieve their goals. Brennan, who holds a doctorate in adult learning, also will share insights from his new book, “The Art of Becoming Oneself,” which blends the wisdom of both Eastern and Western thought on how one can better achieve his or her potential. Following his remarks, Brennan will sign copies of his book. Tickets for the event are $25, which includes dinner and a dessert tasting.
