Newton attorney to take part in ‘Night Walk' for leukemia research

    NEWTON-Elizabeth A. Calandrillo, Esq., will take part in the "Light the Night Walk" Sept. 24 to help raise awareness and funds for blood cancer research. The walk is a nationwide event sponsored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Calandrillo asks area residents to support the "Light the Night Walk" by logging on to its web site, lightthenight.org for additional information and walk sites. She will walk at the Ramapo College site in Mahwah. Walkers will carry illuminated balloons. White balloons will celebrate the survivors, and red ones will commemorate lives touched by cancer. An estimated 747,465 Americans are living with blood cancers. Calandrillo, who is active in many community advocacy programs, is an associate at Morris, Downing & Sherred, LLP, Newton.
