Sparta — A disaster recovery center for Sussex County residents who've suffered loss or damage after Hurricane Irene is now open daily at the Sussex County Technical School on Route 94. The center opened Tuesday, Sept. 13, with hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. While residents are encouraged to call or register online first, it is not necessary. For more information or to register in advance for an appointment, call 800-621-3362 or for the hearing impaired: 800-462-7585. Visit www.disasterassistance.gov.
