Sparta - Sara M. Miller of Sparta has been named to the dean’s list for the 2005 fall semester by the board of trustees at Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Pa. Mill is a second semester senior, scheduled to graduate in May 2006 with a major in finance and a minor in international business. She has served as president of Kappa Delta sorority, attended the University of Westminster in London, England, for a semester during her junior year, and recently interned as a financial analyst for J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. in NYC. She is a 2002 graduate of Pope John XXIII Regional High School. Diane Schaming of Sparta was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2005 semester at the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University. Schaming is a senior majoring in music education. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must achieve at least a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester. Michael Bachmann, of Sparta was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2005 semester at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. Students who excel in scholarship by earning a grade point average of at least 3.0, with no grade lower than C, are recognized by being placed on the dean’s list at Quinnipiac. Full-time students must complete at least 14 semester hours in a semester.
