    Sparta Police Sept. 25 At 10:l9 p.m., Officer Marc Rubino was checking on the Kids Castle Parking lot in Station Park when he came upon 41-year-old James Norman of Hardyston and a twelve-year-old Franklin boy that he was babysitting in an unlighted rear area of the park. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Norman for Sexual assault and Child Endangerment (both second degree crimes). He has been lodged in the Sussex County Jail in lieu of bond and to have no contact with anyone less than 18 years of age. At 2:29 a.m. on Sept. 25, Officer Marc Rubino observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel on West Shore Trail near the Lake Mohawk Country Club. After stopping the car, further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Paul Wiebel, 51, of Key Largo, Fla. He has been charged with failing to exhibit documents, careless driving, failure to keep right and D.W.I. He was later released. Sept. 26 At 2:07 a.m., Officer John Lamon observed a black SUV on Woodport Road heading south failing to maintain a lane of travel. After stopping the vehicle, further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Lorenzo Lattaruli, 49, of Oak Ridge. He has been charged with failing to maintain a lane of travel, careless driving, D.W.I, and making terroristic threats towards Officer Lamon. He was later released. Sept. 29 At ll:13 p.m., off-duty Sparta Officer Brian Hassloch observed a pick-up truck strike a parked car in the Krogh's restaurant and leave the scene. Officer Kurt Morris was alerted of the incident and stopped the truck on Route 517 near the Middle School. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Richard Kirkman, 30, of Franklin. He has been charged with careless driving, failing to keep right, failing to inspect his vehicle, having a cracked windshield, failing to wear a seat belt and D.W.I. He was later released. County Police Sept. 24 Richard Scheel, 22, of Oak Ridge, was sentenced to three years probation 60 days S.L.A.P., intensive outpatient treatment, $155 in fines and $225 in restitution. He pled guilty on July 26 to fraudulent use of a credit card, a third degree crime. On May 25, he fraudulently used a stolen credit card to get money from a credit card machine by running the victim's credit card at Joe's Mohawk Service Station in Sparta Township, where he was once employed, and he would then remove cash from the service station register. Matthew J. Bouma, 21, of Montague, was sentenced to three years probation, 45 days in county jail, inpatient substance abuse treatment, NA/AA meetings three times per week $2,002.70 in restitution, six month loss of driver's license and $2,690 in fines. He pled guilty on Feb. 23 and June 1 to possession of heroin, a third degree crime, and burglary, a third degree crime, along with theft of property, a disorderly persons offense. Also, consolidated for sentence, was a guilty plea to possession of heroin, a third degree crime. On July 23, 2003, he was found to be in possession of a number of bags of heroin by a member of the Sussex County Sheriffs Department. He also illegally entered the Montague Township Fire Department building and stole the contents of a vending machine and also a cash changing machine. Linwood Brent Revis, 32, of Newton, was sentenced to one year in county jail, $330 in fines, and $260 in restitution. He pled guilty on July 12 to theft of movable property, a fourth degree crime, and to simple assault, a disorderly persons offense. He was arrested on May 13 by the Newton Police for taking personal property from a friend's apartment and having pushed her during the course of the theft. John Boasi, 39, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was sentenced to one year probation, 90 days S.L.A.P., $I55 in fines and a $500 contribution to Ginnie's House. He pled guilty on Feb. 4, 2002, to contempt of a court order, a fourth degree crime. He violated a domestic -violence temporary restraining order by having contact with his former girlfriend. Jamie L. Schneider, 21, of Brick Township, was sentenced to three years probation, NA/AA meetings three times per week, 100 hours community service, restitution of $424, six months loss of driver's license and fines totaling $1,360. She pled guilty on Aug. 2, to possession of cocaine, a third degree crime, and theft of movable property, a third degree crime. She stole money from her former employer, Salerno-Duane, and from her parents. She was found to be in possession of cocaine by Trooper H. Bisl in Wantage Township on March 2, 2003. Edward L. Beston, 27, of Hamburg, was sentenced to 60 days in county jail and $155 in fines. He pled guilty on July 26 to failure to register pursuant to Megan's Law, a fourth degree crime. Under the provisions of Megan's Law, he was required to notify the local police that he was moving to a new address ten days prior to his actual move. He admitted that on or about April 1 he moved from Hamburg to Franklin without first notifying the Hamburg Police Department. Dominic Iannacone, 21, of Vernon, was sentenced to five years state prison, $955 in fines, two year loss of driver's license and restitution in the amount of $3,150. He pled guilty on July 26 to receiving stolen property, a third degree crime. He stole a motor vehicle in West Paterson and was found to be in possession of it in Vernon on Aug. 14, 2003. Daniel Ballone, 20, of Stanhope, was sentenced to three years probation, 30 days S.L.A.P., $1,205 in fines and a six month loss of driver's license. He pled guilty on July 12 to possession of PCP, a third degree crime. The Hopatcong Police had been summoned to his home on Dec. 17, 2003 for an apparent overdose and the PCP was observed by them at that time. Charles O. Dimeglio, 43, of Vernon, was sentenced to three years probation, 30 days S.L.A.P., intensive outpatient treatment, $1,205 fines and six month loss of driver's license. He pled guilty on July 26, to possession of cocaine, a third degree crime. He was arrested on May 8 when Vernon Police Officer Young responded to a 911 call regarding an apparent overdose and then observed cocaine. Sept. 27 Cagney M Moog, 18, of Sparta, pled guilty to third degree possession of cocaine. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 3. He was found to be in possession of a small amount of cocaine by Sparta Police Officer Jeffrey Mase who was investigating a car parked after hours in the Sparta Mountain Wildlife Refuge. Thomas W. Sisco, 38, of Lafayette, pled guilty to two counts of theft, both third degree crimes. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 3. He admitted to police that he took a baseball card collection from a home in Lafayette on April 2, which he later sold. He also admitted to taking catalytic converters from an auto salvage company in Newton on Feb. 28, which he also later sold. Ryan C. Ford, 24, of Dover, pled guilty to possession of cocaine, a third degree crime. Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 5. He was found to be in possession of a small amount of cocaine after a motor vehicle stop on Sparta Avenue, Sparta, by Cpl. Louis Takacs and Sgt. Neil Spidaletto of the Sparta Township Police Department. Robert A. Norman, 21, of Wantage, pled guilty to theft, a third degree crime. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 3. He gave a statement to police admitting his role in taking merchandise and money from a home in Wantage in May of this year. Rachael M. Ungerer, 27, of Newton, was sentenced to four years New Jersey state prison. She pled guilty on Sept. 20 to violating probation in drug court. She had been placed on probation July 21, 2003 for third degree eluding, third degree theft of a credit card, third degree endangering the welfare of a child, fourth degree tampering with evidence and the disorderly persons offense of attempting to obtain a prescription by deception. She violated probation in drug court by failing to complete inpatient drug treatment. George Petta, Jr., 36, of Sussex, pled guilty to theft by deception, a third degree crime and theft, a fourth degree crime. Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 5. He gave a statement to police admitting to making purchases for himself with a credit card belonging to his employer between March 1 and March 23, 2003. He also admitted to stealing cash from a fellow employee on March 23. Edward J. Loveland, 26, of Wantage, pled guilty to three counts of distribution of heroin, third degree crimes. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 3. He sold 35 bags of heroin on three separate occasions to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force. Sept. 28 Shawn Sandsbury, 30, of Newton, pled guilty to Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, thiree Counts, third degree crimes. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 3. He was charged with using stolen credit card information obtained from prior credit card transactions at an area business to obtain various goods and services.
