Tre M. Jenkins, 22, of Stanhope, was sentenced to three years Probation. Along with the standard conditions of Probation, he must also complete 200 hours of community service, submit a DNA sample, pay over $11,000 in restitution and $587 in fines/fees.
He pleaded guilty on Feb. 22, to theft, a crime of the third degree.
The defendant stole various items including multiple iPhones, Air Pods, Apple Watches, and Samsung Galaxy phones from Woodbury Wireless (T-Mobile) in Newton where he had been employed.
April 11
William Tifa, 24, of New York, N.Y., pleaded guilty to Attempting to Obtain a Controlled Dangerous Substance by Fraud, a crime of the third degree and Impersonation, a crime of the fourth degree.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 26.
The defendant placed phone calls to North Country Pharmacy in Sussex impersonating a doctor in order to have a prescription filled for Controlled Dangerous Substances.
April 12
Ronnie C. Branch, 24, of Sussex Borough, pleaded guilty to Vehicular Homicide and Driving While Intoxicated, a crime of the second degree.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 1.
The defendant admitted to driving under the influence of controlled dangerous substances which subsequently led to a motor vehicle accident in which another driver on a motorcycle was killed. He was simultaneously sentenced on the DWI charge to seven-months loss of license, 12 hours of Intoxicated Drive Resource Center, and $689 in fines/fees.
April 13
Eric D. Hand, 29, of Hopatcong, pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a Child, a crime of the third degree.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 23.
The defendant admitted to being in possession of child pornography on electronic devices which belonged to him.
