Register until June 26 for Y summer programs

    Hardyston - Registration for summer programs at the Sussex County YMCA will remain open until June 26. YMCA members must register for these programs in person at the Y, located at 15 Wits End Rd. in Hardyston. The summer program session, which begins June 2 and runs through Sept. 3, will offer a wide variety of programs and classes including: Aquatic Programs - Aquatic programs will be offered to people of all ages and skill levels. Children as young as three months old may enroll in aquatic youth classes, specially designed to help children learn the fundamentals of swimming by progressively building upon the skills learned at each previous level. Adults and seniors may choose from two adult swim instruction classes for beginners or more advanced swimmers. They also have several aquatic fitness programs to choose from, which provide a full body workout with little stress on joints. Adult Programs - The YMCA offers a variety of fitness programs, such as cardio, step, Pilates, yoga, karate, basketball, volleyball, aikido and more. Teen Programs - Teen programs, among the most popular programs at the Y, include aerobics, Pilates, training workshops, cycling and kick boxing, and American Red Cross baby-sitting certification. Youth Programs - The YMCA offers a full array of sports programs and clinics, as well as many youth specialty programs for children as young as three years old.
