Restaurants join hands to help raise funds for Project Self-Sufficiency
Andover - On Monday, April 7, hundreds of patrons crowded Perona Farms to sample the wares of 32 chefs at Project Self-Sufficiency’s 11th annual “A Taste of Talent,” to raise funds for the agency’s services to low-income families in Sussex County and the surrounding area. Guests tried everything from hors d’oeuvres to entrees to desserts, while they mingled and chatted with the chefs. This year’s event featured a visit from Robert Irvine, one of the hosts of the Food Network’s hit show, “Dinner: Impossible.” The owners of Krave Café and Caterers, Kate and Rich Hashway, helped to coordinate the event along with board member, Dana Sabatino and her husband, Nick. “We were delighted to work with Kate and Rich to organize this year’s A Taste of Talent,’” said Dana. “The work that PSS does changes families lives for the better. One donation, no matter how small, will make a huge impact on the lives of a woman and her children.” Kate Hashway said “Rich and I created Krave so that we could give back to the community. We love what PSS does for women, families and for the community.” Other restaurants were A la Mode Ice Cream, Andre’s, Bernard’s Inn, Bobolink Dairy, Café Pierrot, Casa Bellisima, Cheddar Alley, Chocolate Goat, Chocolaterie, Cliff’s Homemade Ice Cream, Columbia Inn, Doc’s, George’s Wine & Gourmet Gallery, Hotel Fauchere, Irvine Group, JC’s Grill House, Le Petit Chateau, Rod’s at the Madison Hotel, Michael Anthony’s, Narin Thai, New Muir House, New York Hilton, Prickly Pear, Restaurant Kaya, Restaurant Serenade, Ristorante Il Porto, Salt, Silver Spring Farm, Springwater Bistro, and the Walpack Inn.
