DENVILLE - Saint Clare’s three hospital auxiliaries have pledged a total of $2.1 million to the health care system’s Miracles capital campaign. The combined pledge is the largest in the auxiliaries’ history. The combined gift is the third largest commitment received during the fundraising campaign, following a $5 million gift by Saint Clare’s Foundation trustee Kate Tiedemann and a $3 million pledge by the Saint Clare’s medical staff. The Saint Clare’s Hospital Auxiliary/Denville and Boonton Township pledged $1 million to the new Roberta C. Ferguson Pediatric Center to be built at the Denville hospital. The new facility will feature all-private rooms with the latest medical equipment, a new reception and interactive play area, a treatment room, family center, meeting room and an expanded Children’s Neurology and Epilepsy Center. Saint Clare’s Hospital Auxiliary/Dover pledged $1 million to support the renovations to the emergency department at the Dover campus. The new emergency center, featuring 4,000 additional square feet of clinical space, 28 exam rooms, a new registration area, a new waiting area, a new triage room, and an expanded “fast track area,” opened in May. Saint Clare’s Hospital Auxiliary/Sussex pledged $100,000 to support a new emergency department at the Sussex hospital. The new facility will feature 4,000 square feet of clinical space, a new nursing station, upgraded treatment rooms, a pediatric room with “kid friendly” décor, an enlarged patient entry area, improved ambulance access, an upgraded trauma room, and a dedicated cardiac treatment room. The new facility is expected to open by year’s end.
