SILVER AWARD PROJECT HELPS ALL GIRL SCOUTS

Michaela Kayal, of Troop 716, has created a resource section at Sparta Public Library for all Girl Scouts and Leaders to utilize as part of her Silver Award project. In this photo, Michaela Kayal laminates “Safety Wise” for the new Girl Scout reference section at Sparta Public Library with a little adult help. Girls and leaders will now be able to sample Journey Program’s books and badges as well as other reference materials for additional creative projects. Every year, leaders and girls will be able to recycle their books and donate them to this project. Sparta Librarian Lyn Gebhard has set up a new reference section just for Girl Scouts.
