SPARTA — Members of the Sparta Chamber Council, an affiliate of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce, visited North Jersey Homebrew located at 354 Lafayette Road in Sparta. North Jersey Homebrew features beer and wine making supplies. Owners Scott Begraft and Mike Pippitt enjoy meeting area residents who make their own wine and beer and consider this one of the most interesting aspects of their business. They both agreed that the thing that most surprised them was the amount of people that live in Sussex County making their own wine and beer and how good it tastes. North Jersey Homebrew is open Wednesday through Friday 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visits to local businesses are part of the Sparta Chamber Council’s Ambassador Program. Council members welcome new businesses and new owners of existing businesses to the community by bringing gifts and information about the benefits of membership in the Council and the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce. Business owners and managers in the Sparta area may request a visit by the Chamber Council ambassadors by calling 973-579-1811 or sending an email to mail@sussexcountychamber.org. Recent ambassador visits, as well as membership information about the Sparta Chamber Council, can be found at the Sparta Chamber Council page at www.sussexcountychamber.org.
