Sparta - The Sparta Health Dept. will host “Understanding Memory Loss,” a program about Alzheimer’s disease, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, in the conference room at the Sparta Wellness Center. The program, presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, is designed to be most beneficial for individuals who may be concerned about memory loss themselves, or concerned about someone close to them, but do not yet have a diagnosis. The program will explore the difference between normal age-related memory changes and abnormal changes that are associated with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia disorders. This program will also help participants understand the importance of proper and early diagnosis.
