Sparta Kiwanis celebrate Key Club accomplishments
Sparta - The Sparta Kiwanis Club treated the Sparta High School Key Club to a pizza party recently as a sign of appreciation for the assistance provided by Key Club members during the recent holiday bell ringing activity for the Salvation Army. This year, the total collected for the Salvation Army reached $27,317, the largest amount in the 12-year history of this activity by Sparta Kiwanis. The active support provided by 46 members of the Sparta High School Key Club went a long way in enabling Sparta Kiwanis to meet the target objectives set by the Salvation Army. The Sparta High School Key Club is named for Manny Reis, long-time member of the Sparta Kiwanis Club, who founded the high school Key club during his long tenure as a teacher at the school.
