Sparta Kiwanis presents ‘Casino Royale' night March 3

    Sparta - The Sparta Kiwanis Club will host its initial Casino Royale from 7 p.m. to approximately 11 p.m. on Friday, March 3, at the new Sparta Volunteer Fire Dept. building at 141 Woodport Rd. in Sparta. A maximum of 175 tickets are available at $50 each and will entitle the ticket holder to an initial set of playing chips. Additional chips will be available for purchase. “Events Plus,” a Las Vegas-style professional gaming organization, has been contracted to manage all of the gaming activity. Tables will be dedicated to blackjack, craps, roulette, Caribbean stud and “let it ride” poker. Doors will open for purchase of chips at 6:30 p.m.; gaming will commence at 7 p.m., with the final hand beginning at 10 p.m. All gaming chips will be converted to prize tickets at the end of the evening. The tickets will be used to determine prize winners. All prizes will be awarded after the tables close. Sandwiches, snack foods, beer wine and soft drinks will be provided throughout the evening. All participants must be 21 to enter; ID is required for admission.
