June 29 Ptl. Brian Hassloch was on patrol on Green Road, when he observed a blue Ford Bronco with a brake light out at 4:59 p.m. The vehicle was stopped on Stanhope Road. The driver, Lee Hup, age 42, of Sussex was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the police department for processing. Mr. Hup was additionally charged with refusing to Submit to breath testing. He was charged with driving while suspended, careless driving, maintenance of lamps, cracked windshield, failure to exhibit documents and failure to inspect. Two outstanding warrants were found against Mr. Hup, from Newton and New Hanover Township. Mr. Hup was lodged in the Sussex County jail. June 30 Diane Medici, age 48, of Shohola PA, was arrested for DWI after Sgt. Dennis Proctor, who was on patrol at 6:16 p.m. on Route. 15 observed a blue Toyota SUV traveling in an erratic manner. Ms. Medici was transported to police department for processing. She was subsequently charged with Failure to Maintain Lane, Careless driving, Driving while suspended and Consumption of Alcohol in a motor vehicle. She was released pending a Municipal Court appearance. July 1 Patrol officers were alerted to a hit and run motor vehicle accident including a white Ford Escort at 3:03 a.m. on Rt. 15, in Jefferson Township. An off duty Randolph Detective had witnessed the vehicle strike a guard rail and continue traveling north on Rt. 15. Sgt. Dennis Proctor and Officer John Seville observed the vehicle in question, . The driver, David Orsillo, 43, of Paterson was arrested for possession of CDS (cocaine). He was transported to the police department for processing. He was additionally charged with DWI (narcotic), CDS in a motor vehicle, Careless driving and Failure to wear a seat belt. He was released pending required court appearances. July 3 Ptl. Joseph Pensado was on patrol at 2:23 a.m. on Rt. 15, when he observed a black Chrysler 300, traveling at a high speed. The driver, Yana Aliyeva, 27, of Staten Island, NY was subsequently arrested for DWI. Ms. Aliyeva was transported to the police department for processing. She was additionally charged with Speeding and Careless driving. She was released pending a Municipal Court appearance. July 7 Ptl. David Pridham was on patrol at 11:09 p.m. on Lafayette Road, when he checked what appeared to be a disabled vehicle on the shoulder. Ptl. Pridham observed two people seated in the rear seat of a Toyota Camry. Subsequent investigation revealed that one of the individuals seated in the rear seat had been the driver. Timothy Drace, 21, of Newton was subsequently arrested for DWI. He was transported to the police department for processing. He was additionally charged with Careless driving and Obstructing Passage of vehicles. Mr. Drace was released pending required court appearances. July 8 Sparta Patrols responded to a reported fight at Krogh’s Restaurant/Bar in the Plaza. As patrons were being dispersed an altercation ensued between two individuals that had been previously at the bar. Two individuals were charged with the following offenses: Ryan Bailey, 28, of Newton was charged with Theft of Moveable Property. David Kapral, 40, of Sparta was charged with Failure to Disperse. Both individuals were released pending required court appearances. July 9 Ptl. Joseph Antonello was on routine patrol in the White Deer Plaza area when he observed a Toyota Corolla, being operated in an erratic manner at 1.38 a.m. The driver, Terry Sheridan, 48, of Wharton was subsequently arrested for DWI. She was transported to the police department for processing. She was additionally charged with: Refusal to Submit to a Breath test, Careless driving, Failure to stop, unsafe lane change and no registration in possession. A Warrant was located out of the Jefferson Township Court. Ms. Sheridan was turned over to the Jefferson Township Police for processing on their warrant. July 10 Pd. Marc Rubino was on patrol at 11:49 a.m. on Route 15, when he observed the operator of a Chrysler Lebaron was not wearing her seat belt. After stopping the vehicle, the investigation led to the arrest of the driver and two other occupants for narcotics violations. The driver, Amanda Reph, 26, of Danialsville PA, was charged with Possession of Cocaine and issued summonses for Maintenance of lamps, Failure to wear a seat belt, Failure to exhibit a drivers license, Driving with an expired license and Possession of CDS (cocaine) in a motor vehicle. Passenger Michelle Weiss, 37, of Olyphant PA, was charged with Possession of cocaine and possession of a hypodermic syringe. The second passenger, Thomas Dean, 35, of Hawley PA was charged with Possession of heroin, Possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe. An outstanding arrest warrant for Ms. Reph out of Washington was found. Ms. Weiss and Mr. Dean were released pending required court appearances, Ms. Reph was turned over to the Washington Township Police. July 12 Ptl. Joseph Pensado was on patrol at 1:40 a.m. on Woodport Road, when he observed a grey Volkswagon Golf, being operated in an erratic manner. The driver Anthony Asencio, 23, of Sussex was arrested for DWI, He was transported to the police department for processing. He was additionally charged with Failure to keep right and careless driving. Mr. Asencio was released pending a required court appearance.
