    July 18 Detective Terrence Mulligan charged Denise Lenihan, 26, of Ogdensburg, with forgery and theft as it was discovered by her parents that she was forging their names and withdrawing money from their bank accounts at First Hope bank in Sparta. Lenihan was later turned over to the Andover Police Department in connection to a case being investigated by Detective Gil Tagiatella. July 19 At 12:45 a.m. police observed a car on Route 181 without a license plate light on. After stopping the vehicle further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Adrian Villanueva, 22, of Sparta. Villanueva has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of narcotics, driving while intoxicated, failing to maintain lamps and failing to exhibit documents. His passenger, Matthew Brown, 22, of Sparta, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of narcotics. Both were later released. At l:20 a.m., Officer Mark Mastandrea responded to West Shore Trail for a report that someone was at the front door of a home refusing to leave. Upon arrival the officer located Meredith Rainer, 20, of Wantage, inside a vehicle. She has been charged with driving while intoxicated and criminal mischief after she damaged a breathalyzer unit at police headquarters. She was later released.
