    February 6 At 3:42 p.m., a car driven by Ailed Mugan, 66, of Milford, struck a car driven by John Kowalchuk, 43, of Sparta on Route 181. Further investigation by Officer Joe Antonello resulted in Mugan’s arrest. He was charged with having a broken windshield, improper turn, reckless driving, improper backing, and driving while intoxicated. He was later released. At 11:52 a.m., Officer Dave Pridham observed a car tailgating on Route 15 north. After stopping the car at the Park and Ride off Woodport Road, further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Janelle Rude, 26, of Greentown, Pa. She was charged with tailgating, failing to produce a registration, unlicensed driver, controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle, possession of heroin and providing false information. Her passenger, Jessica Beers-Hindley, 22, of Honesdale, Pa., was charged with possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and having a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle. Both were later released. February 7 At 10:13 a.m., Officer Louis Brown observed a car speeding on Route 15. After stopping the car on Route 15 north, further investigation resulted in the arrest of the passenger, Jaime Arocho, 31, of Brooklyn, N.Y. He was charged with possession of marijuana and later released. At 10:48 p.m., Cpl. John Lamon was checking businesses on Sparta Avenue, and, while at the Sparta Post Office, he noticed a man lying on the floor of his vehicle, apparently looking for a lost object. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of the man, who was the driver, Gerard Fazzio, 33, of Jackson. He was charged with possession of heroin and possession of hypodermic needles and later released. February 11 At 12:07 a.m., Officer Kurt Morris responded to Saddle Ridge Road for a report that a car was parked alongside of the street running and not moving. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver who was asleep, Dow Pruitt, 45, of Waldwick. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, failing to produce his registration and failing to change his address. He was later released. At l: 45 a.m., Officer Kurt Morris observed a small red car speeding on Woodport Road. near the Sparta Bowling Alley. After stopping the car near Hunters Lane, further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Kimberly Regan, 42, of Sewell. She was charged with speeding, careless driving, failing to wear a seat belt and driving while intoxicated. She was later released. February 12 At 2:46 a.m., an SUV driven by a 17-year-old male, of Cobbler Square, struck a lamppost and stone pillar on Lambert Drive and overturned. Further investigation by Sgt, John Paul Beebe and Officer Kurt Morris resulted in his arrest for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and operating under the provisional drivers license. He was later released.
