September 2 At approximately 3:40 a.m., Patrolman Joe Antonello observed a vehicle traveling on Route 181 with a brake light out and unable to maintain the lane of travel. After stopping the vehicle, further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Steven Scovzen, 21, of Ogdensburg. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain a lane of travel, failure to maintain lamps and careless driving. He was released pending a mandatory court date in Sparta. September 3 At 9:55 p.m., Detective Terrence Mulligan observed a vehicle failing to stop at the intersection of Route 181 and Blue Heron Road. After stopping the vehicle, further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Peter Zebrowski, 42, of Sparta. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, and failure to stop at an intersection. He was released pending a mandatory court date in Sparta. September 4 At 1:56 a.m., Ptl. Frank Schomp observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed Route 15. After stopping the vehicle, further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Zanis Feld, 28, of East Elmhurst, NY. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding and careless driving. He was released pending a court apperance in Sparta. At 8:45 a.m., Ptl. Marc Rubino and Ptl. Rick Smith observed a vehicle failing to stop at the intersection of Route 94 and Old Prospect School Road. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Stephen Daigle, 21, of Oak Ridge. He was charged with possession of under 50 grains of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, failing to stop and possession of a controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. He was released pending a mandatory court appearance in Sparta.
