Sparta resident to attend American University

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Sarah Jankowitz, a 2006 graduate of Sparta High School, has been accepted to American University. ]ankowitz will be one of 1449 students in the Freshman Class of 2010 that begin their college studies later this month. Classes begin Monday, August 28. Jankowitz is a resident of Sparta, N.]. Jankowitz has been awarded a Dean’s Scholarship. The Dean’s Scholarship is typically awarded to freshman in the top 20 percent of the applicant pool based on ability, accomplishments, and potential as demonstrated by high school grades, test scores, and community involvement and service.
