Sparta skewers Patriots, 28-7

Derrick Freligh led the attack for the Spartans, scoring a touchdown, intercepting passes and maneuvering all over the field as Sparta took a 28-7 victory over the Lenape Valley Patriots. Chris Hoffman and Brendan McDonald, gutted it out for 185 yards against a strong Patriots’ defensive unit. McDonough connected on 13 of 20 passing attempts for 137 yards in posting a total offense of 322 yards. Hoffman took the ball 25 times, churning out 133 yards rushing that included TD runs of three and 27 yards.
