An additional seven Scout families joined the Troop on game day. The troop arrived on Friday night at Lake Frederick Campground along with hundreds of scouts. Saturday morning the troop started with a hardy meal and football. Then the scouts and leaders went to the West Point campus where they watched the cadets on the parade field in a military review. There was a parachute demonstration then a helicopter fly-by. They also had hands-on exhibits and demonstrations including small guns, flak jackets, judo, and robotics. “Watching the military review and touring West Point made me proud of our troops and the Army tradition at West Point,” said Life Scout John Puszcz. The game was against Northwestern and Army won 21-14. Each time Army scored, cannons were shot and cadets did pushups in the packed stadium. All scouts from Troop 150 had a fantastic time and plan to definitely go again next year.
