    Pope John 5, Sparta 1 Emily Carrollo netted for goals as Pope John routed Sparta 5-1 to clinch the SCIL girls’ soccer championship. Keeper Erin Guthrie made 12 saves as the Lions upped their record to 17-1. Stephanie Babulescu chipped in with a goal and assist, while Alex Cumella dished off a pair of assists. Wallkill 3, Hopatcong 2 Cara Radino tallied the game-winner 18 minutes into the second half as Wallkill Valley edged Hopatcong 3-2. Radino was assisted bu Erika Simmons. Earlier goals were scored by Kerri Wisneski and Sarah Hildebrand. Keeper Vicky Ziolkowski turned aside eight shots, while Diana Goovoerts was awarded an assist. Newton 4, Kittatinny 2 Brittany Overland netted two goals as Newton defeated Kittatinny 4-2. Jackie Ragsdale and Brooke Zander chipped in with solo goals while Magdaelna Recalde was credited with an assist. Goalie Heather Harold made six saves. Maggie Saselt and Megan Wilson scored for the Cougars.
