    Season ends at state tournament Pope John’s Joy Johnson was the last SCIL student-athlete to fall in the 2005 NJSIAA Girls Singles Tournament that was played over the weekend at Nercer County Park in West Windsor. Johnson, the SCIL Festival’s No. 1 singles champion advanced to the third round before losing to Julia Zak of Villa Walsh Academy by scores of 6-1, 6-1. Chatham 4, Lenape 1 Lenape Valley reached the semifinals of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group II team tournament before losing to Chatham by a score of 4-1. Marissa Tanner posted a 6-1, 6-3 victory in the second singles slot to up her season record to 14-2 and was chosen the sussexcountyinterscholasticleague.com Player of the Week. Ramapo 3.5, Sparta 1.5 Sparta was eliminated from the North Jersey, Section 1, Group III tourney when Ramapo pulled out a 3.5-1.5 victory in which the first doubles match was halted with the Michelle Hardy and Carly Mara tied with the Raiders Vickie Dever and Carky Mara 3-6, 7-5.
