Washington Township — High Point Regional High School (Wantage, N.J.) defeated Sparta High School (Sparta, N.J.) in girls varsity basketball on Saturday, February 17, 2018. The final score was 40-35. The semifinal of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament was played at Warren Hills Regional High School in Washington Township, New Jersey.
Trisha Peterson scored 14 points to lead top-seeded High Point to victory against fourth-seeded Sparta. Margo Peterson and Tyra Wingle scored nine points apiece and Morgan Smolen contributed six points for High Point.
Erin Walsh led Sparta with 18 points and five rebounds.
High Point will play sixth-seeded Delaware Valley Regional High School (Hunterdon County, N.J.) in the finals scheduled for February 23rd in Sparta.
