In spite of temperatures in the low 40s, the Vernon U14 boys’ soccer took advantage of the lights at Maple Grange Community Park on March 27 as they took on the Wallkill U13 boys’ team in a pre-season match. Wallkill put up a good game but in the end, the size and age difference made a difference, and Vernon took the game 2-0. The spring season for both teams started on April 2.
