Miners rout Boulders during Waggy Wednesday fundraiser
Augusta. The Sussex County Miners defeated the New York Boulders 16-5 on July 1 at Skylands Stadium during a game that benefited Newton recreation programs and Father John’s Animal House.

The Sussex County Miners defeated the New York Boulders 16-5 on July 1 at Skylands Stadium.
The game featured the team’s “Waggy Wednesday” promotion, allowing fans to bring their dogs to the ballpark, along with a Newton Recreation fundraiser. A portion of ticket proceeds benefited local recreation programs and Father John’s Animal House.
The Miners’ offense broke the game open with 16 runs in the victory over the Boulders.
