Nine locals run in St. Paddy's 5K

    Newton's Guy Gordan paced a pack of nine local runners to the finish of the inaugural St. Paddy's Day 5K Run in Morristown on Sunday. The 47-year-old crossed the line fifteenth in a field of 303 runners who participated in the event. He was clocked in 18:08 for the 3.1-mile USATF-NJ certified course that started and finished in Loantaka Park. Sparta's duo of Bill Bosman and Barbara Hoess were fastest to the finish in their age divisions. The 54-year-old Bosman, who placed twentieth overall, won the men's 50 to 59 age group with a time of 18:46. Hoess finished first in the women's 50 to 59 competiton when the 57-year-old turned in a clocking of 24:31.
