Road race

Michael Burghoffer of Srockholm turned in an outstanding performance in the 2005 Asbury Park 5K Run contested on Saturday. The 20-year old crossed the finish line fifth overall in the field of 502 runners who completed the 3.1-mile course that started and ended at Convention Hall on Ocean Avenue. Burghoffer was clocked in 16:29, good for the silver medal in the men's 20-24 age division.
