Scholar-athlete

Kelly Keil (center) signs a letter of intent to accept a full scholarship to play basketball at the University of Dayton in Ohio. Kelly’s parents Dennis and Colleen Keil join her along with Patrick Shea, Sparta Athletic Director and Richard Lio, Sparta High School Principal. Other Atlantic Ten teams Fordham, Rhode Island, La Salle, Temple, Saint Joseph’s and Richmond also recruited Kelly. She chose the University of Dayton because she liked their program, the players and the arena.
