It was Seniors Night and the Sparta Spartans held a small ceremony before the start of the contest by recognizing senior field hockey players Hope Nafis, Alexis Gudenkauf, Jillian VanFleet, Maria Strongilos, Lauren Zanetakos and Angela Forziati for their contribution to the team. Bella Tracy and Jillian VanFleet each scored one goal for Sparta. Hope Nafis contributed two assists for Sparta. Sparta goalkeeper Angela Elzind made eleven saves. Katie Yarussi scored one goal for Pope John. Goalkeeper Ciera Smith made seven saves for Pope John. Team records: Pope John Lions 2-6-1. Sparta Spartans 2-7.
