Team Tobin defeated Team Synol in game 1 of the best-of-3 Sparta Summer Basketball League championship series on Tuesday July 24, 2018. The final score was 82-73. The game took place at the House of Sports in Sparta.
Team Synol gave the two-time defending champions Team Tobin one heck of a court battle. But Team Synol got into foul trouble in the stretch and that, coupled with Team Tobin's consistent scoring, sealed their fate.
