Veritas girls cream Harmony in hoops
Parsippany-Troy Hills — Veritas Christian Academy (Sparta) defeated Harmony Christian School (Middletown, N.Y.) in high school girls varsity basketball on Friday, February 24. The final score was 41-14. The semifinal round of the Metro Christian Athletic Association Tournament took place at Parsippany Christian School in Parsippany Troy-Hills, New Jersey.
Veritas Christian's Brenley Knakkergaard scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed two rebounds. Hannah Delbury contributed 6 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Naomi Delbury accomplished eight steals. Erin Sytsema contributed 6 points and Jane Valkema grabbed 9 rebounds.
Sarah Falk scored a team high 7 points for Harmony Christian.
The Veritas Lady Lions went on to play in the Metro Christian Athletic Association Tournament championship title game on Saturday, February 25. Veritas earned the championship title by defeating Parsippany Christian School 39-31. Parsippany Christian School in Parsippany Troy-Hills, New Jersey hosted the championship game.
