St. Nicholas visits Sparta parish

The winter sun shone brightly on the frosty terrain as St. Nicholas of Myra was welcomed at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha in Sparta on Dec. 4. The fourth century bishop is best known for his secret gift-giving to the poor and needy. He reminds people "it is more blessed to give than to receive." St Nicholas is the patron saint of children.
