Sussex County girls can sign up for Girl Scouts
Sussex County The Lenni-Lenape Council (GSLLC), which encompasses all girls in Sussex County, is still forming troops for the 2006-7 year. All girls ages 5-17, from kindergarten to senior year in high school, are invited to register and take part in Scouting. The Girl Scout program is designed to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Through exciting programs and activities not offered in school, girls learn to be self-confident, find new talents and hobbies, and discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Adults over the age of 18 can also register to volunteer with GSLLC. Volunteers are needed year-round to lead troops and groups, lend expertise to programs, and provide a positive example for tomorrow’s leaders. Note: troop placement is subject to the availability of adult volunteers in the area. To register for Girl Scouts, or for more information, call Terry Jecker at 973-729-4309 or visit www.gsllc.org.
