    May 24 Ian Rosenberg, 44, of Hawley, Pa., pled guilty to theft by deception, a third degree crime, and bad check, a third degree crime. May 26 Joseph N. Sabina Jr., 25, of Sparta pled guilty to the fourth degree crime of possession with the intent to distribute less than one ounce of marijuana. He admitted to possessing a small amount of marijuana with the intent to use it and distribute it in his home in Sparta on Dec. 9, 2009. The matter was investigated by the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force. May 27 A juvenile pled guilty on May 27 to two counts of possession of heroin, both crimes of the third degree. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 17, of Sparta, was sentenced to 12 months probation and six month driver’s license suspension. He will remain on in-home detention until he can enter and complete drug treatment program. He must undergo random drug testing, submit a DNA sample, have no contact with his co-defendant and pay $1,100 in court fines. In April the juvenile and an adult co-defendant were involved in a motor vehicle stop in Newark and he was found to be in possession of heroin. In May he was the passenger in another motor vehicle stop and he was found to again be in possession of heroin. May 28 Ashley M. Castro, 23, of Newton was sentenced to three years state prison, $1,205 in fines and a six month loss of driver’s license. She pled guilty on May 10, 2010 to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. She admitted to possessing six bags of heroin in Newton on Jan. 26, 2010. The matter was investigated by Newton Police Sgt. Michael Monaco. June 1 Muhammet Erarslan, 32, of Clifton, entered a guilty plea to one count of an indictment charging him with the third degree charge of knowingly showing obscene material to a person under the age of 18. Erarslan admitted to the court that on or about June 25, 2008, he had engaged in an online computer chat with an individual he believed to be 14 years of age. Erarslan further admitted that during that online computer chat he sent a webcam video of himself having sexual contact with himself to the individual he believed to be 14 years of age. It was at the time of his arrest on Nov. 14, 2008, that Erarslan learned that the individual he was talking to online was a detective working undercover online as a 14-year-old child. This case was investigated by Det. Sean Talt, Vernon Police Department, a member of the Sussex County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and members of the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit. Mary Vandermark, 23, of Franklin, pled guilty to two counts of theft by unlawful taking, a fourth degree crime and a third degree crime. Evelyn M. Wrobel, 35, of Hamburg pled guilty to third degree theft. From December 2007 to May 2008, she admitted that she took money in excess of $500 from a Sussex resident. The incident was investigated by Detective K. McGill of the New Jersey State Police June 2 Michael Mulligan, 44, of Vernon, pled guilty to endangering, a fourth degree crime and assault by auto, a third degree crime.
