May 26 Michael McDowell, 23, of Hopatcong pled guilty to the third degree use of a stolen credit card, fourth degree resisting arrest and the disorderly persons offense of failure to turn over a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to that on November 19, 2007 in Hopatcong he used a stolen credit card to obtain goods. He also admitted that on March 26, 2008 he failed to turn over a small amount of heroin to Stanhope Police Officer Christopher Bork. Finally, he admitted to resisting arrest in Hopatcong on February 11, 2009 when Sussex County Sheriff’s Detective Michael Yanko attempted to take him into custody for an outstanding bench warrant. May 27 Aaron Lichtenstein, 49, of Patchogue, N.Y. pled guilty to the second degree crime of unlawful possession of a weapon and a ticket for failure to maintain lane. He admitted to possessing an unloaded handgun during the course of a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 80 on April 8, 2008 by Byram Police Officer Daniel DeWald. Nicholas R. O’Toole, 29, of Newton, was sentenced to three years probation, 30 days SLAP, continued substance abuse treatment, $1,205 in fines and a six-month loss of driver’s license. He pled guilty on April 6 to the third degree crime of attempting to defraud a drug test. He admitted to possessing a bottle of clean urine at the time that he was about to take a drug test while on probation at the Sussex County Probation Department. Jonathan Deluca-Knighton, 19, of Vernon, was sentenced to three years probation, 30 days SLAP, continued outpatient substance treatment, $2,380 in fines and a six-month loss of driver’s license. He pled guilty on April 6 to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and to the third degree crime of attempting to defraud the administration of a drug test. He admitted to possessing a bag of heroin on November 22, 2007. He also admitted to attempting to defraud the administration of a drug test at the Sussex County Probation Department on December 19, 2008 by possessing a bottle filled with water that he was going to use to avoid giving a sample to be tested. June 1 Sean P. Bremer, 28, of Greenfield, Maine (formerly of Highland Lakes, NJ), pled guilty to burglary, a third degree crime, and theft, a crime of the fourth degree. On December 30, 2008 in Vernon, Bremer broke into a neighbor’s summer home looking for items to steal and then sell. He admitted his actions to police, stating he needed money to provide for his family. Ramona E. Thompson, 37, of Greenwood Lake, New York, pled guilty to theft, a third degree crime. On March 30 in Vernon, Thompson took jewelry from a friend’s residence and sold it at a jewelry store in Hamburg. James D. Castimore, 45, of Newton, pled guilty to the third crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing a small amount of heroin on February 5 in Newton. Gregory M. Skellenger, 21, of Franklin, pled guilty to the fourth degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing more than 60 grams of marijuana in Lafayette Township on January 26. Daniel C. Stoll, 21, of Branchville, was sentenced to three years drug court probation, 40 days jail, inpatient substance abuse treatment and $2,380 in fines. He pled guilty on April 27 to the third degree of the crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He also plead guilty on May 18 to the same offense. He admitted to possessing two empty bags of heroin in the bedroom of his home on May 4, 2009 and on October 9, 2008.
